Just finished watching Red with J. What an amazing movie. I would definitely recommend it. Sometimes I get tired of chick flicks (ok, not really) and want to watch something get blown up or shot up (the second part of that statement is indeed true).
Just putting Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren in a movie together is epic enough. Then you add in guns and bombs (Mary Louise Parker, to boot) and an interesting storyline and you've got a really great movie. Of course, there's a budding love story (what movie doesn't have one? Minus the Expendables, Boondock Saints and Snatch...thanks to J for those examples) and a lot of humor injected, so it makes it more enjoyable for a girl like me. Even though I wasn't kidding about liking watching things getting blown up or shot up...
In conclusion (pulling out the old high school essay writing phrase), this is a good movie and you should see it.
